FALL IN LOVE WITH OIA

"I just fell in love with this island, here i've understood what the simplicity of life means."

At the Western tip of Santorini island, lies the beautiful, bustling village of Oia. White-washed buildings, iconic blue domes and sunbathed veranda's hug the rugged cliffside, overlooking the endless blue of the island's famous caldera. Look behind you, and the cobbled walkways are buzzing with locals, visitors and curious boutiques selling everything from bohemian jewellery to quirky souvenirs. But turn towards the caldera, and you're suddenly overtaken by an overwhelming sense of calm, the endless blue a tranquil reminder that, as Gustave Flaubert so accurately stated — "you see what a tiny place you occupy in the world." The perfect place to adventure, explore the labyrinth of colourful backstreets and witness magical Aegean sunsets like no other. Oia truly is as picture perfect as the many photographs and Pinterest boards have lead you to believe.

WITNESS THE INCREDIBLE SUNSET

In Santorini, days revolve around a mystical golden hour, that precious moment when the sun sinks into the glistening Aegean Sea. As the sky fills with awe-inspiring shades of orange, red, purple and blue, gentlemen get down on one knee, wine glasses clink, stairways are climbed, lips lock and hundreds of camera shutters sound in unison.

When talking travel plans with loved ones, anyone who has been to Santorini will tell you, "it has the most incredible sunsets in the world", but only when you see it for yourself, will you understand the extraordinary spiritual energy it casts over the beautiful island.

GET LOST IN IMEROVIGLI

For our second stop, we were driven 30 minutes from Oia to the sky-high town of Imerovigli. The highest village in Santorini, views of the caldera, hypnotising sunsets and deep blue Aegean Sea are unrivalled. The boutique hotels that line the walkway along the caldera boast some of the world’s most incredible infinity pools, a tranquil place to escape from Oia’s bustling streets and take a moment to reflect with nothing but the ocean ahead of you. If you feel like adventuring, Imerovigli is the perfect place to get lost. The winding cobbled pathways are home to some of the island’s most picturesque churches, traditional cave houses and the daunting yet majestic Skaros Rock. Once a medieval fortress and the capital of Santorini, the beautiful Chapel of Panagia Theoskepasti lies at the base, guarding in all its splendour.
